For those of you who have not yet responded to tell me you are coming to the Tikkun Olam Workshop, NOW is the time to commit. If you have been waiting to check your calendar schedule, please mark down that you will attend the Workshop on November 1st. We are setting up a core group of members who will assist me in the vital project of connecting with our congregation through a listening campaign. Our group will be contacting each Temple member and meeting with them one-on-one to assess their interests and concerns. Our goal is to engage the members of the Temple in working on issues of concern to them that contribute to Tikkun Olam, that is, Social Justice activities. I need your participation.
The first session of the Tikun Olam Workshop will be held on November 1, 2006, at Temple Emanu-El, in the BFR, at 7:00 pm. This will be an important kick-off start to our project, so I need you to plan on attending. Staff from PACT will be there to help us get started with our listening campaign. Even if you are unable to participate in the follow-up for the project, it would be helpful to come to this session, to be aware of what is going on and lend us your support and your input suggestions.
