Good News! It is not too late to join in with our Social Action Committee at the next Tikkun Olam Workshop on November 15, 2006. You can help us keep the ball rolling towards engaging the congregation in important projects for the Temple and the community. We will be meeting at the Temple at 7:00 pm.
Our goal is to engage the congregation in Social Justice activities. The workshop is being led by staff from People Acting in Community Together (PACT) and is very informative as to how to create a campaign to listen to our members and identify issues and concerns that are important to the Temple. From this, we can create some valuable projects with significant appeal and support within our congregation.
The PACT model for community involvement will be our best approach to connecting to our members. We need just a few more individuals who are willing to support this activity. Please let me know that you plan on attending, and I hope you will agree to participate in these important activities.
