The next SAC meeting is Tuesday, January 16, 2007 in the BFR at Temple Emanu-El at 7:00 pm. This is a very important meeting to discuss our Tikkun Olam activities and our presentation to the Board of Trustees. At our last meeting we met with staff from PACT and discussed our strategy for the February Board meeting. I will be sending you under a separate email a draft Power Point Presentation for the meeting for your review. Your comments will be most appreciated. I will need your assistance in making the presentation, as we want to show a united voice from the committee.
We want to solicite the Board's support for our project to conduct a listening campaign to contact and meet with our congregants. We want to identify issues of interest to our members that will spark a connection with the congregation, so that we can develop projects that all will want to work on enthusiastically.
We all realize that there will be no financial support available from the Temple, but by gaining the endorsement of the Board for this type of project, we can move forward to implement our campaign from a stronger position. Please let me know you will attend the meeting on Tuesday and lend your thoughts and opinions. The Temple supports us and the Committee needs you.
