The Rosh Chodesh Festival of the New Moon is an ancient tradition for women
going back to biblical times. It is said that this holiday was given to women
to celebrate as a reward for their refusal to participate in the making of the
"golden calf idol".
Come join us as we mark this holiday every other month with prayer, ritual,
sacred symbols, music, meditation, storytelling and more. In a small, friendly
group, we will meet at the home of Lorie and Shari Kaplan, explore who we are
as Jewish women, reinforce our Jewish identity and deepen our spirituality.
This holiday is truly a sacred time just for you.
Our next Rosh Chodesh is August 28 at 7pm. SPACE IS LIMITED RSVP to Lorie at 267-4563
On September 10 at 7 pm in the Temple House, Nancy Trauben will be leading a craft class for you to create all sorts of treasures. We will be making beaded bookmarks, wine glass charms, bottle stoppers, scarf pins and safety pin brooches.$10 per person. RSVP to Bernice at 738-3310.
