They involve PACT activities, and as you know, Temple Emanu-El is an active member of the PACT community, supporting and working for social change for social justice. There will be a townhall meeting on Thursday, June 19, 2008, of the Gang Prevention Task Force, the same group that met at Temple Emanu-El several months ago. They are moving forward with their efforts to improve safety in our community, and that is something we can all support. The meeting will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church in San Jose at 7 pm.<br /> <br /> The Tikkun Olam Committee is researching topics of interest to the congregation and is planning a meeting with officials of the San Jose City Office on Aging on Friday, June 20, 2008. The meeting will be held at the PACT office in San Jose starting at 12 noon.
